Here we develop and share thoughts on how to enable folks to cultivate their know-how of writing in wiki. We do this at a simple and perhaps also at a more fluent and powerful level.
> For communicating to others in the pod we post news here: Writing in wiki news. We all have a page with this name.
To begin, we'll list in an ad hoc way the features of wiki that are being used in the present site. Later we may rationalise, extend and categorise this list.

Basic page composition
Paragraph - The basic unit of the wiki page. There are numerous kinds of paragraph that can be included. New paragraphs can be created via the 'factory'. In <Text> and <Markdown> paragraphs, a new paragraph of the same kind can be created with <Return> or two <Returns>, respectively.
Editing paragraphs - Double-click a paragraph to edit. Use <Escape> to close, or click outside the box.
Turn paragraph editing ON/OFF - Click 'wiki' in the bottom toolbar. When in edit mode, a journal at the bottom of the page displays the entire history of edits.
Journal - The journal allows earlier versions of a page to be restored (as a ghost page) by clicking on a stage in its history.
Forking a page - A page not belonging to the present wiki (coloured border) can be forked here (copied) by clicking the flag button - <Fork> - in the journal toolbar.
Factory - A 'factory' appears on clicking the [+] button in the journal toolbar. It shows the kinds of paragraph plugins that can be created.
Paragraph plugins - Many different kinds of capability are available in a wiki page, by including various kinds of paragraph plugin. Plugins are chosen from the factory. See Tools in the page
Paragraph positioning - A paragraph can be dragged into any position on a page. Can also be dragged from one page in the lineup to another page.
Deleting an unwanted page - In the page journal click the earliest version of the page. This displays a ghost version of the empty page. <Fork> this to delete the page. Deleted pages appear in <Recycled pages>, selected from the Hamburger menu, and can be restored from there.
Markdown features - Using a markdown paragraph enables typographic features like block text, ordered and unordered lists, bold/italic typeface, 'code' (fixed-width) typeface, and escaped characters. About markdown - To be added xxx
> 👉 Of course, bullets can be included in plain text paragraphs by using the characters available directly from your keyboard. \[This is a block text example of a Markdown paragraph, but with a keyboard bullet]
Page status (borders)
Colured page borders - The staus of a page is indicated by the colour of its border.
WHITE border (normal) means the page lives in the current wiki, and can be edited here.
YELLOW border indicates the page has been edited here but not yet saved here. The page is living in local browser storage, and needs at some point to be saved using <Fork> in the journal toolbar.
BLUE border means the page lives in some other wiki and cannot be edited here - but it can be forked to here using <Fork>.
GREEN border means a page is generated locally by the server - for example <Recent changes>. Content of green-border pages typically varies between occasions.
GREY border and page means the page is a 'ghost' which offers further options to be selected by a further click - for example, the ghost page generated by clicking the Hamburger menu.

Graph snippets - Wiki has a powerful capability to graph networks of pages. It's good to accumulate a library of snippets that enable various kinds of graph to be dropped into the wiki-in-hand.
